Creating Meaning. 1st Post Due by Day 3. Consider the importance of creating meaningful tasks/activities to promote goal-reaching in our lesson designs. Using the examples in our text as well as the idea-provoking TED video, Emily Pilloton: Teaching Design for Change(http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/eng/emily_pilloton_teaching_design_for_change.html) about creative teaching/planning, describe a “challenge” and detail a specific type of task you would place in your lesson to meetthe challenge and support your goals.
Guided Response: Read your classmates’ ideas of challenge-oriented tasks. Choose two of your classmates’responses to address. For each, list and describe three strengths and three potential weaknesses of the ideas your classmates have presented. Suggest scenarios in the learning environment which would either hinder yourcolleagues’ efforts or enhance their strategies.
